I did sew aprons as far I could remember. These were in 2014. Haha. For the sake of safe keeping, I want to store it here too.

I used heavy cotton that I bought in Malaysia.

SUMMER TOPS, BATIK THEME

I made these two summer tops in two hours time. It is too easy but depends on the fabric used. I really love this korean viscose mix fabric. So easy to handle. I got this fabric for free from my all time favourite ajushi in Gwanjang Market. He asked me to pick this pattern when I was so busy looking at my linen fabric at his shop.
I said I did not want due to big leaves print. He then cut one yard and said he wanted to give to Hanaa. He also gave me another two types of fabric too from rug type and silk. He gave me too much of free fabric already.
When I came back home and did the sewing, I felt like I really want to have this pattern too maybe for my kimono dress! Or baju kelawar.haha.
Definitely will go and hunt for more.

KOREAN COTTON BLOUSE

I made this long time ago but this was just the perfect time for her to wear it since it was made slightly bigger of her age earlier.

I just knew it that she would be very excited because a lot of roses at the blouse and now in Korea, roses are everywhere blooming beautifully.

Korean cotton is perfect for this hot weather. I am looking forward to sew something with linen soon.

WENDY DRESS - COSTUME FOR CHILDREN'S DAY

Text   : KHUSHARTINI KAMARULZAMAN
Photo : KHUSHARTINI KAMARULZAMAN

When the teacher sent a note saying that the children could pick their costume anything in the Peter Pan series, I was shocked. I really mean it. It was a few days before the children's day. How could I forgot about Damia.

We actually prepared for her a mickey mouse shirt and skirt and it was same like Hanaa. Well, always need to buy two since we have two girls. We thought that they could be anyone.

As for Daniel I knew it earlier from his teacher that he needed to wear the character that he would be in the school play for their summer concert next month.

So, Damia chose to be Wendy. I already knew that it was going to be very hard to find that kind of dress last minute, so I headed right away to Dongdaemun Market for the fabric.

I wanted to buy just cotton for my easing sewing process but my husband said I need to get something flowy so that the dress will look the same as the real Wendy. So I decided to go for Satin fabric.

It was a very tricky one since I never bought any satin in that giant wholesale fabric heaven. 4 to 5 buildings connected to each other with 6 to 7floors. I was praying so hard that Hanaa could be extra patient with me. Lucky I brought her stroller as usual so that she could sleep whenever she wants.

After nearly one hour, we found what we want and went home for the sewing mission!

Alhamdulillah in two days I could finish these two Wendy dresses. Damia got an award at school for her costume.

CAPTAIN HOOK COSTUME

Captain hook!!

Requested by Daniel for his school play and children day costume. My first time ever sewing a costume. Alhamdulillah.

At first, I never thought of sewing anything like this. I did some search to buy it both online and offline but it was not what I was looking f or. Found one online, but too expensive and not even the same.

Thinking of Daniel was chosen to be one of the main characters in his school play, me and my husband wanted to find him the best costume with complete set of everything. We found almost the same hat and sword, even the hook!  But, not the jacket.

Without any hesitation, I confidently told my husband that I could sew that. He was so shock and a bit confuse because I have never ever sewn any costume before.

I made this in two days time and Daniel was so happy and everyone seemed to be amazed (in my family at least haha) that I could really do it.

Sometimes, we need the "push factor" to move without any hesitation and never look back.

HANAA THE ONLY ONE BUSY BOOK

I made this for Hanaa end last year. The one and only. It took me forever to finish it, kept delaying due to other things until Hanaa asked me where is her busy book.

She just used this busy book for a while because she knew almost everything already. Too late for her age to use this at that time! Haha.

POLKA DOT BLOUSES

Will sew more of this soon, in shaa Allah.

Also the same version of Damia's peasant top before. Made this for Hanaa about the same time for our vacation in Malaysia. I used my old collection of Vietnam cotton.

SHORT SLEEVES PEASANT TOP

I made it for Damia last summer. Somehow I forgot to put it up here. I thought I did some sewing for the kids but I forgot to "store" it here.

Anyway, I used Japanese cotton that I bought in Malaysia before. Very suitable for kids. Damia loves the big ribbon on the chest.

The picture was taken when we went back to Malaysia for vacation. She got her first hair cut at the hair saloon. She insisted not to have it since she loves her long hair but finally surrendered due to hot weather. Haha.

HANDMADE WALL FABRIC FRAME

I made these quite sometime ago. The ideas just came out when I saw these old used wood panels. I used Korean cotton fabric for the green one and US Designer Fabric for the wine colour.

TINICRAFT JUNIOR IN PROGRESS

Text   : KHUSHARTINI KAMARULZAMAN
Photo : KHUSHARTINI KAMARULZAMAN

I knew that Damia always wanted to do some sewing as she always shows her interest of my sewing projects and my sewing stuffs. So, we found this little "sewing cool" sewing machine here and decided to buy it for her birthday. She was so happy at that time to see her surprise that she never thought that we would buy for her.

We did some projects together and I bought some refills for her craft items from the same brand. Alhamdulillah for this opportunity. Hopefully she will continue my hobby and passion one day.

In shaa Allah.

Haha, funny.  I laughed to myself. Hanaa wanted to have a cooking apron. I just realized that my apron Label in this blog got only one post. I thought I sew a few of them already. I found this picture  from a folder in my laptop. So, thinking of giving me some "push factor" to sew an apron for her, I put this picture here. I used Bangkok cotton that I bought in Malaysia with Donuts print. It was requested by my neighbor back in Malaysia. She is a successful baker. Really miss her cakes!

NO. 6 (10 BLOUSES/JUBAH CHALLENGE)

Haha, a big laugh to myself. Indeed I managed to finish the challenge but only now realized that I have never uploaded the rest of 5 outcomes.

The bottom arm part i used thick lace fabric.no zipper but still could roll it up for wuduk.Ada cutting sket tp tak ikut bentuk badan but still nampak kurus.haha..suka jahit ni.nanti blh amik tempahan bila balik msia, in shaa Allah..

PATCHWORK

I used most of my remnant fabric from my old kids baju kurung project before. A lot of them! It took me about one month to do all these. Measuring, cutting and sewing all together. More than 600 pcs of square fabric were used to make this bedspread. I used to put this in our guestroom in the house. But now is has been packed since we no longer used this room for the guests. It is now our store room that fits almost everything including my sewing machine ;).

Hanaa long sleeve top, made from knit fabric and very comfortable for her. She loves polka dots so much as much as I do. Will sew more of polka dots.

AIR FRYER HANDMADE COVER

Text:  KHUSHARTINI KAMARULZAMAN
Photo: KHUSHARTINI KAMARULZAMAN

I know that I really miss crafting so much. I did some sewing though ever since my silence here. I will be sharing more later. Other than "saving" my art project here, I would love to share my hobby and inspired myself to sew more and more.

This is an air fryer cover, handmade with love for my humble kitchen here in Seoul. I use this not that often, so I was thinking of having a cover to avoid some kitchen dust.

I used some old remnant Japanese cotton fabric, well, I managed to get it patterned this way (at least enough for one side) and used the polka dots black and white inside. So, it is double sided!
